Searching For Corporate Catering Boston

By Carl Bell

Many company owners or directors will from time to time decide to host a function to reward employees or to entertain their customers. If you are searching for corporate catering Boston there are many things to consider when you are planning. By getting an outside caterer in to handle the hospitality you can focus on other business that needs attention.

A little thought is needed when searching for a firm to handle the food and drinks at your event. The first thing to do is work out how many people will be attending and what food and beverages you would like to offer them. There are catering firms in Boston that offer these services and they will be happy to advise you when you are planning a function.

There are a host of options available to you when selecting a menu for your guests and a little thought is needed when you are in the planning stages. Most types of food are offered from cold bites to full scale evening dinners with all of the trimmings. Staff including waiters, waitresses, bar staff and stewards will also be available for you to hire.

When you have calculated the number of people who will be attending and worked out a budget it will be time to contact a firm. Companies can be found in local directories or you can find one that advertises on the internet. After contacting them they will usually come and visit you to discuss your requirements and start planning.

When you are speaking with the party planner they will go through the events of the day and make a note of you requirements. If you do not know what to offer they will be more than happy to assist you and offer their ideas. A lot of the catering firms will require a deposit if you agree to hire them and this sum will be taken off your final bill.

The price you pay for your catering will vary depending on what type of food you have ordered and on how many people are going to be eating. Small cold snack buffets will be fairly inexpensive with larger sit down meals costing significantly more. Often the companies will have set menus with a set fee per person.

Many firms also provide bar services which are extremely popular and a useful addition for your event. The firm will come and set up a fully functional drinks bar which is stocked with soft drinks, tea and coffee and alcohol if requested. The bar service can be paid for in two ways either up front of they will charge your guests for each drink they have.

The final thing to think about is what equipment you might need for your event. A cold buffet can be prepared in advance by the firm and brought to your venue on the day. If you are serving hot food they may need to bring ovens and other equipment if you do not have kitchens available for them to use. Other items such as crockery and utensils can also be supplied by the catering company.
