Coming back from the office and still having to managing your housework or the children is hard work. In addition to this, you still have to come up with dinner. Children need to eat a meal that is healthy and this is not always easy to make. Vegetables take a long time to prepare, and this can be exhausting. However, there are easy and healthy recipes that are available which everyone will appreciate.

You need something filling and tasty that kids are not going to turn their noses up at. Things like pasta and potatoes and other carbs should be restricted, but not eliminated. You simply can't live on bread alone, but you need to have a balanced diet. Kids still need to indulge in Mac 'n Cheese and the whole family will appreciate a pesto pasta with a tomato sauce. This is very easy to make.

Pastas can be made to be very interesting and tasty, while low in calorie content at the same time. People turn to tomato sauce, olive oil and pesto and Greek yogurt as a substitute. Adding vegetables and lean meats into the dish can be tasty. Flavoring this with herbs can also make a difference. There are things you can buy in the stores that can make a big difference.

Soups and stews are easy to make and they are especially tasty and rewarding in the winter months. You can prepare these in the morning before you go to work. When you come home, your meal will be ready for you, and there is nothing better than that. You can use things like tomatoes, dry lentils and peas and other beans and vegetables. Some people use sausage and beef.

Roasted vegetables are also easy to make. These come already prepared. You just need to pop these in the oven, add a little olive oil and mix them up with the pasta. You can even mix in some pesto. If you want to add a little protein, you can add some chicken or some beef. Shrimps also work very well in pasta and there is not a lot of preparation involved.

You can also come up with a stir fry which is not essentially traditional. Something like a rustic style Italian plate of sausage, various vegetables and various nuts can also be very tasty. There is no rice that you have to cook up. You may want to add a couple of potatoes which you can put in the oven. Roasted vegetables are very easy to make and this is healthy to make at the same time.

Always have supplies ready available. It means you don't have to run to the store at the last minute. When you are tired you don't particularly want to do your grocery shopping after you have been shopping all day. You need to know what you are going to be cooking.

This can go with anything. You can make a stew in no time at all. You can make a soup. You can make a sauce which will be great for pasta. The tomatoes that you get in a canned are easy to boil in a couple of minutes. You will then blend them down so that this thickens into a sauce and it becomes smooth. You just need to add a little garlic and you will be all set.
